Camp Erin© Camp Volunteers participate in our annual weekend long camp by supporting children and teens who have experienced the death of someone special. Camp Erin serves approximately 50 children and teens and many volunteers are needed to make it successful.
Camp Erin relies on the commitment of well-trained volunteers to join the Grief Support staff and bereavement specialists in presenting a safe, fun, and supportive camp experience. Volunteer positions include:
- Cabin Big Buddies: participate in and/or facilitate sharing activities with their assigned campers throughout the weekend.
- Activity Assistants: ensure the smooth operation of camp by assisting with activities and providing logistical support.
- Camp Nurses: maintain responsibility for all health-related concerns at camp.
- Grief Activity Facilitators: with prior experience in working with grieving children, these volunteers help to lead grief activities during camp.
