When faced with issues around aging, serious illness, or death, many of us turn to faith and spiritual leaders for support and guidance. Hospice of Santa Cruz County offers information, education and support to help faith and spiritual leaders and their congregations navigate these important topics.
Partners In Caring Luncheon Series
Partners in Caring luncheons provide an opportunity for faith leaders to share ideas and resources to best support congregants facing aging, serious illness, and end-of-life issues and grief. These meetings are specifically designed for clergy, lay faith and spiritual leaders, chaplains, Stephen and Eucharistic ministers, parish nurses, and anyone who ministers to the aging or those with serious illness.

We are excited and blessed to work with Hospice of Santa Cruz County in helping our parishioners, friends and community face end-of-life decisions with new knowledge, courage, and a deepening faith. The Partners in Caring meetings are especially effective in providing a forum for faith leaders to better understand the complex issues involved.
— Rev. Robin Mathews-Johnson, Watsonville First United Methodist Church
I always come away from Partners in Caring workshops with helpful resources or an answer to a question regarding end of life issues and sensitive ways to discuss such issues with parishioners.
— Rev. Jane Grady, La Selva Beach Community Church
The Partners in Caring workshops equipped me to help members of my community plan for and respond to end of life decisions.
Hospice of Santa Cruz County is available to facilitate discussions related to hospice and end of life topics such as: how hospice and palliative care help, essentials of advance directives, navigating difficult conversations, grief support tools, self-care for caregivers and more.
