Stories from the Heart
We are privileged to be able to serve our community and its members in the most poignant time in their lives. These are some of their stories.
I’m so thankful for Hospice, just knowing that Palliative Care is part of my life is making me feel very cared for.
Hospice of Santa Cruz County allowed us to exhale. The calmness they helped create … was amazing…. They were a savior for me, they were my life raft; it’s immeasurable the help that they gave us.
My therapist was just so inspirational. I feel extremely pleasant memories; it’s comforting. All I have to do is look at my therapist’s face and I feel I’ve been transformed to another realm. It’s unbelievably superb.
A lot of the time in deep loss is so lonely and you’re sort of floating out there in the world. And then there’s Hospice to grab onto and to be that anchor for you. They’re just here for you.
Camp Erin has taught me how to calm my feelings down, to talk to someone if I really need to. I’ve made some friends I never thought I would have.
