Camp Erin Camp Volunteers participate in our annual weekend long camp in October by supporting children and teens who have experienced the death of someone special. Camp Erin serves 60+ children and teens and many volunteers are needed to make it successful.
Camp Erin relies on the commitment of well-trained volunteers to join the Grief Support staff and bereavement specialists in presenting a safe, fun, and supportive camp experience. Volunteer positions include:
- Cabin Big Buddies: participate in and/or facilitate sharing activities with their assigned campers throughout the weekend.
- Activity Assistants: ensure the smooth operation of camp by assisting with activities and providing logistical support.
- Camp Nurses: maintain responsibility for all health-related concerns at camp.
- Grief Activity Facilitators: with prior experience in working with grieving children, these volunteers help to lead grief activities during camp.
