Hospice of Santa Cruz County provides compassionate presence and professional expertise for individuals and their families confronted with end of life and ensuing loss. Essential to this mission are the core values of dignity, comfort and self-determination.
The year 2008 marks our organization’s 30th anniversary. During this time, we have been honored to offer compassion, expert medical care, comfort and grief support to tens of thousands of patients, families and members of our community facing the end of life.
After three decades of service, our Hospice is no longer a “Project” but a recognized organization deeply rooted in the healthcare and well-being of our community. To reflect this, we have returned to our original name of Hospice of Santa Cruz County and have unveiled a new look representing our commitment to service today and into the future.
Our new logo contains symbolic elements that tell our story:
Our name and logo are changing, but our mission and core values of comfort, dignity and self-determination remain unwavering. We are proud to be Santa Cruz County’s oldest and only non-profit hospice. Our Board of Directors, organizational leadership and staff remain committed to responding to our community and assisting as many individuals and families as possible while maintaining integrity and accountability at every turn.
At each step of our 30-year journey, we have been supported through the generosity of our community of volunteers, donors, local businesses and foundations. We are profoundly appreciative of your continued support of our compassionate work.
